About The Artist
Ratan Saha is a sculptor who believes that every form holds a silent story — a memory of culture, labor, and spirit. He works primarily with bronze, brass, and copper, using traditional casting techniques to shape forms that are both contemporary and deeply rooted in Indian sensibilities. His sculptures often feature motifs such as the bull (Nandi), temple bells, and agricultural tools, drawing upon spiritual iconography and the everyday realities of rural life.
For him, sculpture is a meditative process — a conversation between material and meaning. His creative journey is shaped by observation and empathy, especially towards those whose lives often go unnoticed, like farmers, whose resilience and relationship with the land he pays tribute to through his work.
