About The Artist

This is Rakesh, currently lives and works in Delhi, India. He is a fine artist delivering his thoughts, expression, and experience
through painting as a mediums to communicate with society. He generally work in oil medium with the combination of different dry mediums and photographs.
As he was born in a small village of Madhya Pradesh in 2002. He have spent his early 6 years in his village and deeply connected to the nature, culture and environment of his village. In 2008 he was shifted to Delhi and then started his educational journey from there.
Since 2008 he has experienced a dramatic change in his nature and living style hence feels unlucky that he has disconnected to his native village, society, culture, environment and nature. He use to paints the hidden, untouched inexperienced reality of poor class society and tribal culture.
His thoughts in painting are to give a sign of danger to our rich heritage cultural things like earthenware’s, clay stove, old houses, living style, Ancient culture etc. Are in danger and almost lost due to the fast developments.
He said “if we lose our culture then we also lose our native identity and we will lie in the category of society in which we don't want to be in’’.
He uses human figures as a main focus of attraction because that is what we connect generally , he use to make mainly the hands and faces clear and other parts covered by the generally flat drapery because he personally think that we have a hidden faces behind a big loss and that is what want to show.
He uses a photographer as a supporting pillars of concept as they indicate the presence of the past. Everything that happened in the past we experience though either our memories or either photographs.
His color palette is almost in a darker range because of the thought and content that he delivers .he uses generally color in symbolic manner keeping in mind the natural perspective to connect with the neutrality of the content. He uses different techniques and brush work to contrast more enjoyment and feel in the composition.
