About The Artist
Satadru Sovan Banduri, a versatile artist, has been honored with the esteemed Fulbright Scholarship at the University of California and is now based in New Delhi, India. His work delves into the complex interplay of desire, fantasy, the physical and the mental, as well as the broader themes of global and social justice. Banduri's art navigates the turbulent waters of South-Asian gender norms and sexuality, challenging and merging traditional boundaries through his creative inquiry and collaborations.
Utilizing his own body as both a medium and a message, Banduri confronts societal taboos and indulges in social satire, positioning himself as a provocative commentator within the modern "Technological Jungle." His artistic ambitions extend to scrutinizing and reflecting on the perspectives of global society and environmental concerns, seeking to integrate these critical issues into the fabric of his creative practice.He Participated in India Art fair in 2022.
